Grant Administration

According to the “Grant Writing” Book: “Grants are gifts made by a charitable-giving foundation or the government, most often to a nonprofit organization; that is, an organization designated a 501(c) (3) by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Grants are often made to support the operations, special projects, or other activities of a nonprofit organization for a specific period of time. Grant proposals are submitted as requests for grant funding. Proposals include a narrative, forms, and attachment. It is the grant writer’s responsibility to create, complete, and compile these documents” (Tremore, Smith 2009).

Grant research and facilitation requires a detailed- oriented and resource-intense approach to help meet the many different requirements in the grant process. The main purpose of this form is to develop a structured process that will benefit the submitting applicant and the grant administrator of the REDC in ensuring efficiency and fairness in the process. It is also a resource for our grant administrator to evaluate a pool of requests.

Important note: The REDC will be assisting exclusively government and non-profit grant seekers.
