First Community Wind Project in Ind.
The City of Union City and the Randolph Eastern School Corporation partnered to erect two 1MW Nordic wind turbines. This is only one of the many innovative projects completed in Randolph County in recent years.
TOMASCO Indiana LLC Expansion
Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Honda supplier's expansion. TOMASCO Indiana LLC has subsequently grown to become Randolph County's largest employer.
Randolph Inn & Suites Ribbon Cutting
A group of local investors built the 47-room, 12-suite hotel. Amenities include an indoor pool, free wireless internet, and a conference room that seats 60. The hotel is adjacent to a new upscale restaurant, the Randolph Grille, another grassroots endeavor that opened May 2009.
Cardinal Ethanol
Cardinal Ethanol began production in November 2008 and produces in excess of 100 million gallons of ethanol each year. The massive facility includes a triple loop rail spur that has opened the area to future development.
St. Vincent Randolph Hospital
St. Vincent Randolph Hospital, a JCAHO-accredited health system and 25-bed Critical Access Hospital, has been providing health services to area residents since 1919. This new facility located on Greenville Avenue in Winchester was opened in November 2001.
A Century of Success in Randolph County
Frank Miller Lumber Company, Inc. (FML), one of the world’s largest producers of quartersawn hardwoods, has called Randolph County home for more than a century. The family-run enterprise utilizes state-of-the art sawmill and kiln drying technology.
